Padua Petroleum Nigeria Limited (PPNL) is an indigenous company established to provide a unique range of services to the Nigerian Oil and Gas Industry.
We venture into the this industry with the objective of building on existing limited in- country capacity. In view of the enormous opportunities which abound in the Oil and Gas industry in Nigeria and the new findings in other African countries, there is need for more indigenous players to fill the yawning gap by providing competitiveness and quality service delivery to the industry.

We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Pipeline Engineer

Location: Lagos

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Prepare General Arrangement drawings in accordance with Good Engineering Practice as stated in relevant and applicable codes and standard, making corrections where necessary.
  • Prepare equipment datasheets based on details/data provided on PEFS, vendor documents and relevant codes and standards applicable for each project.
  • Prepare Material Take off (MTO), Tie-In and Manual Valve Lists
  • Review Piping Isometrics, making corrections where necessary.
  • To ensure deliverables are issued to meet the set targets.
  • Ensure participation in all QHSSE programmes.
  • Intervene and/or report unsafe acts / conditions and near misses
  • Preparation & Issue of Scope of work (input to RFQ), evaluation of vendor’s quotations, clarifications, Technical Bid Analysis etc.
  • Good knowledge of engineering design codes like, ASME, API, ANSI, ASTM, NFPA, BS, TEMA & and standards like Shell DEP, Total GS, Mobil GP, Chevron CES, etc.
  • Review of vendor’s documents, calculations, reports, drawings, datasheets, specifications and calculations.
  • To ensure deliverables are issued to meet the set targets.
  • Review and update all deliverables issued to clients to ensure they meet and/or exceed clients’ expectations at all times.
  • Interface and communicate with other departments to achieve project goals
  • Intervene and/or report unsafe acts / conditions and near misses
  • Preparation of Mechanical FEED and DED Documents for all projects under the supervision of senior engineers.
Qualification & Experience
  • A relevant Engineering Degree or equivalent.
  • Good knowledge in software such as AutoCAD, Caesar II, Auto Pipe, PV-Elite, PDMS, Auto PLANT, HTRI.
  • Must be familiar with Microsoft Office especially Excel, Access & Word and other applicable software.
  • Strong organizational skills, technical competence and attention to details.
  • At least five (5) years of progressive experience in design and facilities engineering both Onshore and Offshore, Green and Brown fields in the oil and gas industry
  • Field engineering and construction experience is an asset.
  • Competent oral (English) and written communication skills
  • Knowledge of industry/regulatory standards
  • Proficiency in reading and understanding technical drawings/diagrams
  • Develop, mentor and coach junior engineers.
  • Management techniques and delegation of tasks
  • Inter Personal skills communication and effective listening
  • Leadership skill and ability to supervise and check the work of others successfully.
  • Thorough document review, decision-making and time management skills
