Marketing Business Development Manager West Africa
Your role
The Marketing Business Development Manager?s role is customer facing and requires a range of marketing and business development skills. Based in the Lagos offices your region is West Africa and you can expect to travel 50% of the time.

You will plan and lead regional business development and marketing activity and will be a core contributor 
Background
With an HQ in central London and a ground station and offices in Lagos, this enterprise is a satellite operator and leading provider of satellite data communications services in Europe, the Middle East and Africa. An exciting company and place to work, they are currently making significant investments in technology both in space and across EMEA. In 2018 they will launch a new satellite expanding their capacity in Africa by 80%.
The growing customer base includes many of the World’s leading telecoms and media companies, together with government users with civil and security requirements.
Main duties & responsibilities

  • Develop and deliver the regional marketing plan to generate revenue
  • Progress early & mid-stage opportunities to expedite short lead-to-close duration
  • Support regional channel partners with well executed campaigns
  • Actively scan for bid opportunities and lead the bid response process
  • Develop intelligence on the regional market
  • Build the regional marketing toolkit, case studies and sales training
  • Engage with leads, prospects and channel partners to promote products and capabilities.
Skills & Qualifications

  • Marketing or business development in a telecoms or technology company in West Africa.
  • Able to plan, create and deliver marketing plans.
  • Face-to-face sales, business development or marketing experience.
  • Willingness to travel C.60% of the time.
  • Demonstrable revenue and/or profit generation.
  • Strong written and spoken English, other languages and advantage.
  • Strong presentation skills.
  • Resilient, flexible and possessing an entrepreneurial spirit.
Desirable skills

  • Channel management.
  • Fixed or mobile Internet, IP data or satellite communications experience, ideally supported by appropriate qualifications.
  • Product lifecycle experience
