Job description
A full fledge Investment Banking, Securities Trading and Principal Investment Firm, with licenses from the Nigerian Securities & Exchange Commission and the Nigerian Stock Exchange, which provides a comprehensive range of investment banking and financial advisory services to priate, public sector, corporate and institutional clients has a need for an Associate.
Employee will play a role on a wide variety of client transaction teams and work with members of the team on various advisory engagements.
Reports to**: The Chief Financial Officer
Job Description**:
Provide account and clerical support to the accounting department.
Posting of bank deposit and payment vouchers.
Preparation of weekly bank reconciliation statements for all the bank.
Maintenance of petty cash.
Prepare and maintain accounting documents and records.
Assisting the accounting department in the preparation of financial statements.
Reconcile accounts in a timely manner.
Daily enter key data of financial transactions in the database.
Provide assistance and support to company personnel.
Research, track and restore accounting or documentation problems and discrepancies.
Function in accordance with established standards, procedures and applicable laws.
Constantly update job knowledge.
Requirements**:
Minimum of OND/HND Credit.
Proving accounting experience.
Familiarity with book-keeping and basic accounting procedures.
Competency in MS Office and database.
Hands-on experience with spreadsheet and financial reports.
Accuracy and attention to detail.
Ability to perform filing and record keeping tasks.
