Minimal Risk is working on behalf of its client to look for appropriately qualified candidates to fill a role as a Country Manager in Nigeria.
The successful candidate will work to Senior Vice President (SVP), Corporate Development and will be based in Lagos, Nigeria but will be required to travel to places as required to fulfil the role.


OVERVIEW

The Country Manager is responsible for the day to day strategy, business management and operations of Olive Group in West Africa, with a main focus on Nigeria. This is a senior appointment reporting directly to the SVP Corporate Development. All department heads within Olive Group West Africa report to the Country Manager.

MISSION

To lead Olive Group West Africa to substantial and sustainable profitability and deliver returns for its parent company, Olive Group (OG), the commercial division of Constellis. This requires both short - term identification and closure of material opportunities and the setting of conditions to enable future growth across multiple industry sectors in the region.

KEY TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Develop and deliver a focused and resilient Business Strategy for OG interests in West Africa with the SVP Corporate Development.
Conduct and vector business development activities in order to underpin realisation of the strategy and expansion of client base in conjunction with SVP Corporate Development.
Act as the Key Account Manager for identified clients in order to expand delivered services, grow revenue and deepen strategic relationships as determined by SVP Corporate Development within countries of interest.
Identify new business opportunities and service lines to meet clients’ emergent requirements and expand both revenue and profitability.
Lead and manage the OG team in Nigeria, embed a culture that leads to excellence in QHSE and an orientation to continuous improvement.
Work with SVP Operations & Deliver to ensure that contracts are delivered correctly to scope and quality, and Olive Group standards are maintained across the region.
Responsible for authorising all expenditure within authority matrix in Nigeria.
Deliver on P & L targets


ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:

Completion of tertiary education
Minimum 10 years commercial/operational management experience within a risk management or security environment is needed, with at least 5 years in Nigeria
Prior experience of supporting the Oil and Gas and/or Infrastructure and/or Construction and/or Development sectors is essential
Prior experience of delivery of Risk Management or other services in Nigeria is essential
Prior client side experience as lead for Security Risk Management at country level or above would be an advantage
Completion of a recognised Security Management qualification would be an advantage
Completion of a recognised Project Management qualification would be an advantage

CAPABILITIES & SKILLS:

Excellent English language skills, oral and written
Excellent computer skills (Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, Power Point)
Excellent working knowledge of security and risk management principles for security operations in conflict/post-conflict and remote hostile environments
Advanced Salesforce CRM software working knowledge
Demonstrable experience of drafting detailed reports and presenting to clients
Demonstrable experience of leading a team of bid managers, devising proposal strategy and ‘Price to Win’ strategy Highly developed understanding of proposal management strategy and process
Excellent computer skills (Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point)
The ability to draft detailed reports, proposals and presentations to clients to the highest standards
Proven skills in the application of security and risk management principles to security operations in conflict / post conflict and remote / hostile environments
