A well-established chemical raw materials distributing company requires the above to manage and coordinate the switchboard whilst liaising with customers and clients regarding various aspects of their business.
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
- Operating a busy switchboard, liaising telephonically and face to face with staff and customers as well as managing the reception area.
- Greeting, welcoming and directing visitors and ascertain the purpose of their visit in order to assist them effectively.
- Performing all other general administration which includes typing of various documents, filing, faxing, copying, and updating the telephone list etc.
- Assisting the accounts / admin departments with various duties as and when required.
- Receiving, distributing and processing all incoming and outgoing documentation, including international and local couriered deliveries, delivered and received from customers etc.
Minimum requirements for the role:
- Min matric.
- Previous experience working as a receptionist wherein you have managed a switchboard and interacted with clientele.
- Confident and friendly nature is essential.
- A passion for reception and interacting with people is essential.
- Computer literacy - Microsoft office knowledge is essential with basic Excel.
Salary package negotiable depending on experience gained.
