A well-known and established Fragrance Company requires the above to provide Marketing Leadership and effectively develop and implement the Product Management and Marketing Strategies within the Group.

The successful candidate will be responsible for:
  • Developing and implementing marketing and activation campaigns, tracking sales data, maintaining promotional materials inventory, planning meetings and trade shows, maintaining databases and preparing reports.
  • Working closely with the Brand Managers and Trade Marketing Manager with formulating the brand’s long-term strategy and developing and executing marketing plans.
  • Defining the brand’s pricing, packaging, trade merchandising, advertising and promotional strategies and allocating the budget accordingly.
  • Leading the marketing team on a broad range of tasks covering brand management, trade marketing and project management to deliver the brand’s profit, volume and market share objectives.
  • Monitoring and analysing the brand's performance and competitive environment and, as appropriate, recommend actions to address opportunities and risks.
  • Managing the brand's budget together with the brand manager, recommending spending changes as needed.
  • Providing an ongoing analysis of the brand and competitive environment.
  • Identifying and recommending key initiatives to the brand manager based on knowledge gained from an in-depth understanding of the brand and category, as well as knowledge of channel and consumer insights and dynamics.
  • Communicating marketing’s strategies and goals cross functionally in order to help advance decision-making through all project stages.
  • Preparing marketing reports by collecting, analysing and summarising sales data as well as monitoring budgets by comparing and analysing actual results according to set plans and forecasts.
  • Providing sales data, market trends, forecasts, account analysis, new product information and relaying customer services requests.

Minimum requirements for the role:

  • A Bcom Marketing or IMM or related qualification is essential.
  • Must have 3 - 5 years’ experience within a Marketing or Marketing Administration role.
  • Computer literacy is essential with Intermediate Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Photoshop experience.
  • Good Presentation skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Salary package is highly negotiable based on experience gained.
