Job description
Support Production Manager in the overall Production Management inclusive of Planning, Production, Product Quality, etc. Get the schedule from Production Manager, make production plan and allocate manpower accordingly. Generate and release material requisition to stores based on the production plan. Ensure Product meets all Quality parameters and people including operators and contract labours are made aware of non-conformities of the product. Conduct Quality checks of raw material and finished goods. Control processes to assure quality standards. Control the finished goods/products costing in coordination with the plant manager. Follow up of SOPs for the production line and to update it, as and when necessary. Follow up with inter functions like planning, quality, store, dispatch, purchase, engineering, maintenance for related issues. Train the Operators on Production processes. Ensure100
capacity utilization of the unit/plant. Ensure smooth running of unit with no manufacturing defects and machine breakdowns. Ensure 100
compliance to safety norms. Proactively and innovatively work towards process improvements, cost control, etc. Provide overall guidance, leadership and strategic direction to the team/subordinates. Implement and maintain quality systems and continuous improvement methodologies with specific focus on growth, cost reduction and process improvements. Responsible for close supervision of overall Plant Maintenance including coordination with production and other functions. Plan and implement preventive maintenance with daily, weekly and monthly checks. Maintain zero breakdowns by good record keeping of all maintenance jobs. Responsible for proper upkeep and running the Effluent Treatment Plant. Control the inventory systems of Engineering Stores.
