A well-established Chemical Raw Materials distributor specialising in plastic, packaging and additives requires the above to assist with all financial aspects of the company as well as various FEC functions alongside the Financial Manager.
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
- Preparing weekly and monthly cash forecasts for the Group and continuously following-up on major variances.
- FEC functions such as preparing, submitting and reconciling treasury foreign exchange transactions as well as ensuring forward exchange contract bookings and maintenance / monitoring of trade finance / FEC schedule.
- Attending to treasury related queries from bankers and business units as required.
- Reconciling foreign and local bank accounts.
- Preparing monthly treasury reports.
- Preparing, reviewing and managing full financials assuring accuracy and timeliness of monthly financial reports.
- Assisting the Financial Manager with all ad hoc duties.
- Working closely with various departments in the Group.
- Managing the debtors interest calculations and schedules.
- General administration duties as required.
- Assisting with bookkeeping functions as and when required.
- Maintaining, moving and hedging with regards to FEC’s (shipping).
Minimum requirements for the role:
- Minimum matric.
- Previous Bookkeeping experience is essential.
- Experience with forward exchange is preferred.
- Knowledge of pastel partner is essential.
- Computer literacy is essential with advanced working knowledge on Excel (ability to do pivot tables and v look up’s etc.)
- Treasury experience would be advantageous.
- Previous costing experience is preferred by not essential.
- Must ideally have a trade finance background.
- Previous FEC exposure would be ideal but not essential.
Salary package is highly negotiable based on experience gained.
