Successful candidate must be in possession of a Texas driver’s license as authorized by the Texas Transportation Code. A driving record verification will be conducted.
Applicants for positions for which City driving is an essential function must meet the standards of the program: age 18 or older, current applicable driver’s license, proof of insurability, and no more than six (6) points assessed on Driver Record Evaluation (DRE) based on Department of Public Safety (DPS) Driver Record Report. Other related duties may be assigned. Develops, manages, and delegates the implementation of highly complex airport programs that have both internal and external stakeholders.Directs the development and implementation of ABIA’s current fiscal year Capital Design and Construction Plan, prioritization of capital projects, and updates the five (5) year look-ahead CIP and project budgets to meet stakeholder needs.Responsible for oversight of airport staff for the planning, scheduling, design, project controls, computer-aided design and drafting (CADD), construction, and project closeout of capital projects in accordance to Federal grant assurances, City records, and department document controls.Responsible for partnerships with City departments for the selection of outside consultants, including architects, engineers, and specialty consultants, providing airport services on capital projects.Responsible for oversight of general contractors, trade contractors, and/or design-builder entities engaged in construction services at ABIA for the City, third party and tenant construction activities.Manages, monitors, and assures that capital project deliverables comply with all governing code requirements and Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) advisory circulars and directives; are consistent with the Airport’s Design Standards, CADD standards, or performance specifications; and adhere to applicable Code(s) of Federal Regulations, FAA requirements, Transportation Security Administration (TSA) regulatory requirements, and City of Austin regulatory requirements.Develops capital planning budgets, identifies funding sources, and secures Federal and State grants and Passenger Facility Charge (PFC) applications.Oversees airport Capital projects that include new building construction, modification of existing buildings, airfield improvements, parking and roadway improvements, major maintenance of existing facilities, and ongoing maintenance of airfield pavements.Attends meetings and conducts presentations to Boards and Commissions, City Council Committees, City Council and other related agencies and ABIA stakeholders.
