POSITION : Area Manager, West Africa & East Africa

DESCRIPTION
  • Responsible for all aspects of the business in his territory (Sales, Marketing and Technical Service).
  • Identify and realize market opportunities for the Combibloc System business (filling lines, packaging material and services) in his territory.
 Roles:
  • Build and maintain strong customer relationships for the benefit of both
  • Propose action plans to Management that delivers the Company strategy and objectives as defined in OPLA and Budget Reviews
  • Execute the action plans after obtaining Management approval and report timely on challenges, opportunities and results and if needed propose corrections to action plans.
  • Comply with Empowerment framework and build and maintain the company brand by maintaining high ethical standards
  • Manage the office for all legal, manpower, tax... issues in accordance with the local law and company approved policies
Responsibilities
  • Conduct customer satisfaction program and determine our performance level against customer expectations.
  • Develop plans and take the necessary action with the support of the other team members to ensure customer satisfaction levels are achieved.
  • Arrange for periodic technical and commercial updates to the customer on industry developments with the aim of ensuring better fill performance and cost savings.
  • Seek out new market opportunities and develop them against competitive packing materials and companies to increase line utilization and market share.
  • Maintain accurate records of all pricings, sales, marketing and technical reports
  • Build, manage and maintain fully functioning organization and operational office. This includes evaluating current staff skill level and taking necessary HR actions to raise the standard.
  • Establish and oversee implementation of key account plans.
  • Chair monthly meetings with the service, production, quality personnel to ensure programs are in place on time.
  • Develop long-term strategic plan in cooperation with the Cluster Head.
  • Visit customers regularly to ensure their needs are being met.
  • Resolve outstanding commercial and technical issues, develop SIG Combibloc Obeikan’s value proposition, and build strong professional working relationships to gain customer loyalty.

  • Establish periodical sales forecasts on customer sleeve orders and ensure these are accurate.
  • Secure that technical performance and filling machine utilization of all installed equipment is constantly monitored and corrective actions are initiated, if required.
Qualifications
  • Required work experience and skills:
  • Essential: minimum 5 to 7 years in the Sales Department of a Multinational Organization
  • Desired: experience in the packaging industry on Managerial level
Qualifications:
  • Essential: Degree in Technical or Business curriculum
  • Desired: MSc, MBA
Languages:
  • English / French
  • Arabic / German would be an advantage.

  • Committed to delivering on time in full on objectives and activities
  • Understanding of the value chain for dairy and beverage industry and FMCG
  • Travelling.
