Job Description

You are building a bridge between Dutch and Nigerian business and utilizing new opportunities for Dutch business in this African country. As a senior policy officer at the Embassy office in Lagos, you have a clear picture of how you can actively promote the Netherlands in Nigeria.

To promote bilateral trade and investment, you make sectoral analyzes. In addition, you also come up with macroeconomic analyzes. Together with the business development coach of the National Service for Enterprising Netherlands and the Bilateral Economic Employee at Foreign Economic Relations / International Business Management, you work on identifying and following businessleads for enterprising Netherlands in Nigeria.

The economic team sets up quarterly reports and contributes to departmental policy development and allows you to effectively deploy PSD, PD, and BPA resources. You maintain good contacts with the Dutch business community in Nigeria and the Dutch community in Lagos.

Job requirements

You have an academic level.

You preferably have experience with agricultural cooperation.

You have been demonstrably involved in economic work in emerging markets.

You have a clear knowledge of Dutch tools in the field of private sector developments, such as the Dutch Good Growth Fund or the Development Related Infrastructure Investment Vehicle.

You control the English language very well, both in word and in writing.

You are proactive and enterprising, you have a sincere interest in the entrepreneur's products and services and can listen well.

You can think of an entrepreneur and speak his language.

You understand what the entrepreneur's chances are and appreciate what you can do for him or her.

You are involved, work well together, you are result-oriented and decision-making, and you have good communication skills.
