The company is a leader within the property industry. They are currently looking for a Senior Property Valuer for their Lagos, Nigeria operations. This Property Valuer will be reporting into the Head of Valuations for the Sub-Saharan Africa region. This opportunity is for Nigerian Nationals Only.
This Senior Valuer / Associate Valuer role will primarily engage in providing valuation advice for a range of purposes, mainly commercial and residential properties across Nigeria and neighbouring West African geographies. This Senior Valuer will work closely with a market leading regional valuation team to ensure the objectives of the role are achieved.
Key Responsibilities (But Not Limited To)
- Values for a broad range of asset types including commercial, residential and development properties
- Relationships with major banks, investors and owners including local, national and international clients
- Provide valuations advice to clients based on thorough sector and market knowledge for loan security, due diligence, financial reporting, accounts, tax and transaction support purposes
- Inspect, undertake research and undertake valuations adopting appropriate methods and techniques
- Provide valuations and related advice on a range of property types and to a variety of clients many of whom are core clients of the firm
- Liaise with clients to ensure accuracy of information
- Develop and manage client relationships
- Assist the team in achieving target and growing the business line
Key Qualifications (But Not Limited To)
- MRICS qualified valuer or locally qualified Nigerian Valuer
- Relevant post-qualification valuation experience
- Proven track record in undertaking valuations
- Knowledge of primary lenders' valuation requirements and systems
- Knowledge of Red Book compliant reporting processes
- Proficient use of Excel and valuation related software
- Knowledge of the Nigerian property market
- Strong numeracy and English report-writing skills
- Driving license, access to a car and readiness to undertake inspections
