Job Description
The Apparel and Gifting Supplier Manager will oversee all apparel and gifting supplier relationships in an effort to source and understand suppliers offerings as well as communicate clients Apparel and Gifting needs. The role reports to the Regional Operations Manager.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities
• Supplier Audits– New supplier identification & development of existing suppliers
- Social Audits
- Capacity Audits
- Ability Audits
- Machinery and QC management
- ISO and any other audit process
- NDA with suppliers
• Establish supplier Categories
- Ensure strict compliance within country PMC of supplier base
- Lockdown supplier base in each PMC and monitor compliance
• Reporting
- Supplier Ratings
- Hit ratios/ pricing
• Negotiation
- Supplier onboarding
- Volume Negotiation
- Understanding and leveraging the buying power
• Requirements
- The ability to work across a wide range of commodities including merchandise
- related commodities (e.g. branded merchandise, uniforms, corporate gifting etc)
- Strategy: develop a category strategy including supplier landscape analysis, category
- spend analysis, category governance and category performance
- Cross-functional Support / Leadership: support and coordinate purchasing projects
- with cross-functional stakeholders. Develop strong stakeholder support and
- cooperation
- Spend Analysis: collect, process, and analyze historical and forecasted spend data
- Cost Management: analyze existing requirements and pricing to ensure the most
- cost-effective options. Achieve highest value for goods and services while enabling
- unique requirements
- Supplier Relationship Management: establish measurement metrics and tools to
- monitor supplier performance and ensure contract compliance. Maintain day-to-day
- supplier relationships; act as the lead point of contact for all commercial issues
- Strategic Sourcing: lead strategic sourcing process and establish global / regional /
- country agreements to consolidate suppliers/spend. Develop a solid understanding
- of cost drivers and contracts by commodity
- Contracting: lead commercial contract negotiations. Manage stakeholders in
- negotiation process, including legal, supplier, and stakeholders
- Procurement Process: enable efficient procurement process through contract
- structure, preferred supplier relationships, and stakeholder training, using
- supporting technology such as eProcurement where possible
Required Education and Experience
- At least three (3-5) years of experience in procurement, category management,
- strategic sourcing or related functions, with demonstrated breadth and/or depth in
- one or more categories
- Experience in apparel, accessories and gifting manufacturing environments,
- preferably working with medium- to high-volume products
- Understanding of the strategic sourcing process, opportunity / spend analyses,
- contract negotiations, and procure-to-pay processes
- Strong communication, negotiation, and analytical skills
- Open-minded self-starter with the ability to adapt, improvise and problem solve
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritize appropriately and handle
- multiple tasks simultaneously
- Ability to work independently or collaborate with various global and local
- stakeholders
- Team player with strong interpersonal skills
- Ability to travel
