Job Role

Oversees and directs property management activities related to organisation's diverse residential and commercial portfolio. The position is responsible for the overall successful operations of properties and works to ensure the department operations or surpass industry standards.

Job Description

  • Prepare the annual property budgets for all properties in the department and present to management
  • Monitors market conditions regularly and communicates to appropriate staff, any market changes that need to be addressed.
  • Monitors market rents as they pertain to setting organisation's property rents.
  • Ensure repairs on properties are carried out as scheduled
  • Marketing of properties through preparation of sales brochures and promotional information
  • Inspect real estate and records characteristics such as type of improvements and other relevant characteristics for use in appraising and classifying property
  • Estimates real estate value by evaluating costs of building components and estimated depreciation to determine market value
  • Receive and respond to inquiries and complaints from property owners by explaining how property values were established and informing property owners of appeal procedures.
  • Prepares and presents departmental reports relating to portfolio performance, goals, standards, benchmarks, etc
  • Continually enhance industry knowledge and expertise thorough real estate and property management publications, reports and seminars
  • Be informed of property management and other real estate industry related standards, legislation impacting department and industry practices, policies and procedures.
