The position of Bioinformatician/Computational Biologist is of highest importance to contribute for the future portfolio of innovative drugs.

As Head of The Bioinformatics & Computational Biology group, the incumbent will guarantee the advancement of biomedical research within discovery research institutes.

Key roles and activities

You will assist in leading the design, analysis and interpretation of biomedical studies by consolidating a small bioinformatics group by building strong collaborations with R & D teams within the group and with academic institutions.
You will participate to innovation in focusing on dissecting the gene regulatory networks and signaling pathways in human diseases, particularly in cancer.
You will contribute in reconstructing genome-wide and context-specific predictive network models to interrogate the impact of underpinning biological process, to the development of both physiological and pathological phenotypes and generate in-silico hypothesis in combination with laboratory validations.

Skills and experience

The candidate is required to have a PhD degree in bioinformatics / computational science, with experience in computational statistics, biological sciences.
The selected candidate should have a strong background in handling, processing and analyzing omics and particularly NGS data.
Demonstrate experience of genome-wide genetic, genomic, pathway and network methods.
Strong collaboration skills and ability to work effectively in multidisciplinary teams.
Strong communication skills, both written and oral, and demonstrate management abilities.
