The HR Advisor will be responsible for the Human Resources department on an operational and tactical level at TPN. It is important that you manage all daily HR procedures and tasks, but it’s also important that you’re able to think along and optimize HR processes and procedures. In this independent role you are the point of contact for the management and staff regarding HR related issues (such as absenteeism, leave etc.). You will offer support in the recruitment process, visit career fairs and will be closely involved with the current staff. You are ultimately responsible for the performance of deployed personnel instruments. You will also maintain close contact with the HR department in the Netherlands with regard to all common HR processes and procedures, so that it is aligned with the HR policy.
You will be reporting to the Director TPN.
Who are we looking for?
We are looking for an enthusiastic local HR Advisor with experience in formalizing Human Resources in an organization where Human Resources is still developing. TPN has grown a lot as an organization during the past years and for that reason, there is a need for local HR support. Currently, all HR related issues are being settled (as much as possible) by HR in the Netherlands in cooperation with the local staff.
In this role, it is important that you are able to look critically at what the organization needs and accomplish this in a proactive manner. To achieve this, it is important that you maintain good contact with HR in the Netherlands, but also that you put a lot of effort in contacting employees within the several layers of the organization. We expect the HR Advisor to have knowledge of current law- and regulations, our staff regulations and employment conditions. Naturally, you can work with the current MS Office package.
It is important that you have administrative practical understanding and you will be responsible for a proper and correct documentation. Finally, to you it is a challenge to address all common HR issues and to put HR on the map within the organization.
The work location for this position is Lagos, but you are prepared, if necessary, to travel several times a year to our various locations.

What are the job requirements?
• Graduated in Human Resources;
• At least 3 years of experience in a similar position;
• Extensive HR knowledge and experience in setting up and maintaining HR tasks;
• Good knowledge of the local labor law, social legislation and HR processes;
• High level of independence and diligence;
• Good proven knowledge of English spoken and written.
