JOB DESCRIPTION
We are currently seeking candidates for a postdoctoral position (18 months) in Medicinal Chemistry within our Research Chemistry department in Suresnes (10 km west of Paris), France. The successful candidate will contribute to an ongoing research project geared towards the synthesis and optimization of Hit like small molecules in the field of diabetes. This is a unique opportunity to develop and work with state of the art equipment in a dynamic, interdisciplinary environment.
Major aspects of this postdoctoral fellowship will include:
• Syntheses and purification of novel small molecules within a research project
• Effective synthetic route design, scouting and optimization
• Analysis of Structure Activity Relationship
• Additional aspects will be approached depending on expertise of the successful candidate.

SKILLS AND EDUCATION LEVEL REQUIRED
• PhD in Synthetic Organic Chemistry with a proven track record
• Profound expertise in modern and classical synthetic methods as well as modern analytical chemistry (NMR, MS, HPLC).
• Strong background in asymmetric syntheses and/or heteroaromatic syntheses
• Highly Motivated candidate with strong collaborative and excellent verbal/written communication skills required
• Ability to work effectively in multidisciplinary teams
• The candidate should be fluent in French and/or in English
