Technical Project Manager (Site Manager) - Germany / Nigeria
I presently have a fantastic opportunity available on behalf of a company who develops designs, assembles and operates solar power systems as ground mount and rooftop installations. My client have branches in South Africa, Canada, U.S.A, UK, Chile and the Dominican Republic.
My client realizes high-performing photovoltaic projects and provides a wide range of services that include project planning, development, financing, implementation and project management. The key responsibilities for the position will include
  • Project Management Responsibility for realization of PV power plants world-wide, this includes the entire process of the project from the initial planning up to the construction, commissioning and final handover of the plant
  • Preparation of the technical system design, part lists and system documentation
  • Independent selection of equipment, suppliers and subcontractors, including the tendering of scope of works
  • Cooperation, negotiation and joint problem-solving with local and International suppliers, clients and partners
  • Coordination of all project relevant processes
  • Working on tenders and development of technical (project) presentations
  • Implementation of requirements analysis, evaluation of compiled process solutions, development and coordination of technical and functional specifications, progress and budget monitoring
  • Site inspection and evaluation of ground mount-, rooftop-, and carport projects
  • On-site coordination, management and reporting
  • Monitoring the completion of photovoltaic projects until commissioning
  • Planning and management of several worldwide photovoltaic projects
  • Workforce management
  • Supporting the further development of our efficient project management and administrative processes
Requirements
  • University degree in electrical engineering or electrical engineering training as an electric installer, foreman, technician or electrician
  • Extensive project management experience in the photovoltaic field
  • Good knowledge of CAD (Autocad, Civil3D), MS Offi ce applications (Word, Excel, MS Project), PV-SYST and
  • electrical design software (Caddy, E-Plan or similar software)
  • Excellent knowledge of spoken and written English
  • Teamwork and communication skills
  • Ability to take individual responsibility for work
  • Willingness to travel/long-term stays, particularly in Nigeria
